The Human Factors and Ergonomics Society Student Chapter at Ohio State will be having a speaker come and talk. Anyone who is interested is encouraged to attend.

Who: Dr. Steve Lavender

Description: Steven Lavender has been with the Industrial, Welding, and Systems Engineering Department since 2002. Prior to joining OSU, Dr. Lavender worked as a research scientist at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago for 12 years. There he pursued both laboratory based and field projects focused on spine biomechanics and workplace ergonomics.

Topic: Development of interventions to reduce musculoskeletal loads during patient transfer and transport tasks encountered by fire fighters.
